Phontech AS was established in 1987, and is today one of the world’s leading manufacturers of Internal Communi-

cation Systems for Marine applications as well as PAGA and PABX Systems for the Oil & gas Industry.

In 1996, Phontech AS joined the Jotron Group, to make a stronger force and to become more competitive. In order

to serve the global market, the group has established branch ofﬁces in three strategic locations:

Singapore, Houston/USA and Newcastle/UK.

Jotron Phontech is located in Horten, Norway, with 50 employees serving agents and distributors all around the

world. Elements such as sales and marketing, development, engineering, production and logistics are key factors

within our unit in Horten. Jotron Phontech is certiﬁed to ISO 9001 standard, which is required especially in the oil

and gas industry, and by our Navy clients. Our products have, and will continue to be certiﬁed and approved by

many of the world`s leading vessel classiﬁcation societies like; DNV, CCS, RMRS, ABS, RINA and GL. In addition we

have approvals from NPD (Norwegian Petroleum Directorate) and several of our products are designed according

to NORSOK standard.
